Support for Hampton Park Community House

Opposition Press Releases

An elected Liberal Nationals Government will provide a $130,000 grant towards the replacement of buses at the Hampton Park Community House.

The Hampton Park Community House is in desperate need to replace the two 12 seater buses that it has in its current stock. The buses currently transport children from the five primary schools in the area, to and from the Community House to attend the Out of School Care Program.

The Community House also utilises the buses to hire out externally in order to raise revenue for operating expenses of the facility, and also provide an affordable service to the local community for bus hire.

Only a Liberal Nationals Government will support the valuable contributions our local community organisations make.

Comments attributable to Shadow Minister for Families and Children, Georgie Crozier:

“Hampton Park Community House is a vital support service that prides themselves on engaging and empowering the local community by providing social support and educational opportunities.

Susan Serey has worked tirelessly with community leaders to deliver this funding for Hampton Park and if elected as MP, she will keep working hard and keep delivering.”

Comments attributable to Liberal Candidate for Narre Warren South, Susan Serey:

“This investment into Hampton Park Community House will allow this important organisation to continue their dedicated work in helping the local community in a friendly and welcoming environment.

I’m working hard with Matthew Guy and his team on important issues such as this because our community deserves a local Member of Parliament that’s fighting hard for them.”

Comments attributable to Hampton Park Community House Manager, Tania Sacco:

“These new buses will provide an amazing resource to support the Community House, but also will extend beyond, to our school support services, community groups including the elderly and CALD, and supporting families with issues such as domestic violence and mental health.

This investment into our grass roots community needs is appreciated beyond words.”
