Liberal Nationals to upgrade Red Hill Consolidated School

Opposition Press Releases

An elected Liberal Nationals Government will invest $2.5 million towards the upgrade of classrooms at Red Hill Consolidated School.

The classrooms will be revamped from the current outdated, traditional classrooms into newer, modern collaborative learning spaces.

Shared learning spaces have received wide acclaim and this investment by the Liberal Nationals in school infrastructure means students and teachers will be able to work collaboratively together to improve student outcomes.

Comments attributable to Shadow Minister for Education, Tim Smith:

“Red Hill Consolidated School has been overlooked by the Andrews Labor Government for this funding for far too long, and I’m pleased we can right this wrong.

The Liberal Nationals are committed to upgrading Red Hill Consolidated School and give local students every chance they need to pursue a quality education.”

Comments attributable to Red Hill Consolidated School Principal, Leanne Marshall:

“The Red Hill Consolidated School community will be delighted with the $2.5 million Liberal pledge to innovate and redesign the existing learning environments in our school.

Over the past two years, we have seen a significant increase in teachers wanting to work together and believe this practice has a powerful and positive impact on student learning and teacher development.

This funding commitment will allow for an upgrade to our school which will greatly assist this collaborative learning model and in so doing fulfil the goals of our school community.”
